Retirement Account Planning with the Secure Supplemental Needs Trust

The Secure Act was a gamechanger when it came to trust-based retirement account planning.

The text of the legislation left many experts in the field waiting for the draft regulations from the Internal Revenue Service. Those draft regulations were released earlier this year and provided some clarity as to how retirement account distributions could be held in trust for the disabled and chronically ill.

During the recorded webinar, ElderCounsel’s Director of Legal Content, Brian Albee, J.D., reviews the original planning opportunities presented by the Secure Act and what has been clarified by the draft regulations for the disabled and chronically ill. He will also explore amended language made to the EC Secure Supplemental Needs Trust™ that has recently been updated in ElderDocx®.

Webinar Recorded: August 11, 2022
Presenter: Brian F. Albee, J.D.
Duration: 70 minutes
