Description
Revocable living trusts (RLTs) are a cornerstone planning document for many families. The ElderCounsel RLT can be drafted according to your clients’ planning goals during their lifetime and instruct how they would like their assets to pass outside of the probate process when they pass away. The ElderCounsel RLT has unique design and tax options that pertain to elder and special needs planning as well. The trust is only one document in the larger RLT document set. There are a variety of supporting documents that are drafted in the software to correspond with the selections you make while designing the trust, such as the Companion Will and Funding Instructions.
ElderCounsel’s Law and Privacy Specialist, Jill Roamer, J.D., CIPP/US will walk through a big picture overview of RLT design. She will then dive into the ElderDocx® drafting system to illustrate the various RLT design options and corresponding resulting trust language and how to ensure your clients’ elder and special needs planning goals are attained. She will highlight the supporting documents to the RLT document set so that you have a full picture of the resources the system provides your clients.
