Suzanne Levy is the Principal of the LEVY LAW FIRM. Ms. Levy is admitted to practice law in the State of New York for more than 27 years focusing on trusts and estates, elder law, corporate law and related litigation.

Ms. Levy is a Court approved Surrogate's Court Mediator and a Special Master for the New York Appellate Division Second Department, as well as the Co-Vice Chair of the Elder Law Committee for the Nassau County Bar Association.

For her high net worth clients, Ms Levy finds innovative solutions to reduce their estate and gift tax liability, while taking into consideration client's personal wishes, family needs and philanthropic goals.

For her clients who are seniors, Ms. Levy has significant Medicaid planning experience for those seeking long term care planning or who are in crisis mode. Ms. Levy understands that seniors have significant concerns regarding their independence, maintaining their dignity and that protecting their assets is paramount. Depending on each client's unique personal and financial situation, Ms. Levy will provide clients with guidance and strategies to protect assets from a "Medicaid spend down" to enable them to become eligible for either Community Medicaid (in-home care) or Institutionalized Medicaid (nursing home care) services.

The FIRM offers a unique "Family Retreat" service to clients, bringing the family's "circle of trust" together, including friends and/or advisors, to discuss estate and succession planning strategies. Conversations will be facilitated by Ms. Levy between family members to achieve unity for the family estate and succession plan.

Ms. Levy is frequently appointed by New York Supreme Court Judges as a Court Evaluator for Article 81 cases pursuant to the NY Mental Hygiene law, Guardian Ad Litem, Referee, Receiver.  She has be appointed as a Court Mediator for 4th Judicial District in NY and Special Master for the Appellate Division Second Department. Ms. Levy also is an approved FINRA Arbitrator.

Ms. Levy graduated from the School of Management at the State University of New York at Binghamton with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management and Albany Law School with a Juris Doctor. She is registered with the Series 6 and 63 licenses and has her NY State Life and Health Insurance license. Suzanne is a devoted mother to her teenage daughter and is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association on the Medicaid and Estates and Surrogates Court Committees, the Orion Resource Group, Gerontology Professionals of New York, Elder Counsel and Temple Israel in Great Neck. Ms. Levy has also been a National Business Institute (NBI) speaker on Medicaid Planning.
